VDOlocal

A consumer product shipped end-to-end out of Mumbai — brand identity, mobile app, web app, Sanity Studio, and the landing page that ties them together. Live and in-market.

Brief

VDOlocal launched as a complete product engagement under one roof. Sitio Labs shipped the verbal and visual identity, the consumer-facing mobile app, the web product, the Sanity-backed CMS, and the launch landing page — designed by Mati and engineered by Zerocode in a single integrated cycle.

Challenge

Could one studio ship a brand and a working consumer product at the cadence a single team requires?

Yes — by collapsing the brand-handoff stage entirely. The visual system and the app component library were authored together, not sequentially. By the time the brand book was approved, the iOS and Android builds were already running it in production.

Approach
  1. 1

Discovery: framed the product around a single user job — not a feature list. The brand brief and the product brief were written as one document.

  2. 2

Direction: paired the typographic identity to the UI primitives in week two, so brand decisions became component-level decisions immediately.

  3. 3

Build: native mobile via Zerocode (Swift + Kotlin), web app on Next.js, Sanity Studio for content, all in one pull-request graph.

  4. 4

Ship: store submission, public landing page, and post-launch support all delivered inside the original engagement window.
